Walking On Turtle Island

The highly acclaimed one man show features 21 characters, and four plays within the play. Two of these are contemporary stories from the Lakota heritage in Robert's life and two are historical stories. Among the fascinating and powerful characters he brings to life are: Oona from the book "Night Flying Woman", Tyee John of the Confederated tribes of Siletz from southern Oregon (one of the first Native Americans incarcerated in Alcatraz), and "Jesse White Toes" (a "breed" Indian trying his best to live on the "red road", dealing with drugs and alcohol and all the struggles of modern living).
The audience is guided by a spirit narrator, who jokes, sings powwow songs and leads us on a clear, spiritually honest, poignant, and humorous journey of two-leggeds living in North America. Over the last seven years, this show has toured  British Columbia, Australia, Germany, and North America.
