Assemblies/Visits/Storytelling
Robert brings an exciting brand of edu-tainment through the Traditional stories he carries and the contemporary way in which he presents them. Includes: powwow songs, Lakota and other tribal stories, and Q&A with the audience. These charismatic performances are filled with information, spontaneous humor, and lively discussions on topics from Native America. Robert will captivate all ages.

One-day Residencies in schools
This is all day in the school. Includes: two one-hour storytelling assemblies with Lakota and other tribal stories, powwow singing, and Q&A. After the assemblies, a few brief visits to classrooms and then a two hour workshop (or two one-hour workshops) with select students.

Theater as Transformation
(1 to 2 week residencies)

Ages 12 through adult, one or two week residencies. This includes a public performance by Robert followed immediately by a week or two weeks of workshops with select, volunteer participants and a public performance of the material created in the workshops. Topics include: cross-cultural understanding, performance as catharsis, racism, A&D prevention, and finding your happiness.

Robert engages the students with audience participation and lots of humor. He is always open to questions and discussions on topics including authentic American history, current Native America, well-ness thinking and being drug and alcohol free. His powerful northern-style of powwow singing always brings good feelings into the room and excites the audience. The workshops are playful, active and engrossing.
With his many years as a counselor, Marital arts teacher, and youth advocate, Robert effortlessly guides the students through a series of acting exercises to create a lively and safe container in which the students clarify their communication skills, positive self-esteem, well-ness thinking, and enhance acting skills for performers

"After having Mr. Greygrass visit our school for many years to do social studies and language arts storytelling assemblies, small group discussions about storytelling and/or Native Americans, and drama workshops...we feel inordinately qualified to say that he is the BEST! Our students love him, even though he requires their strict attention and best manners, and he has remained a highlight of our yearly curriculum. He is versatile, well-prepared on a variety of topics, entertaining, and educational. We highly recommend him."
-Jan V. H.-Prehn, Jordan Middle School, Palo Alto, CA
